Terms of Service

Your account

You need to be at least 13 to create an account. Keep your sign-in methods secure and tell us at support@picassoraynestudios.com if you think someone else used your account. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

Your content

You own the docs you write and the code they describe. When you back up a project, you let us store it to provide Codeology to you. When you publish a project, you let us show its docs, including their source excerpts, to anyone and include them in Codeology search, until you unpublish it or stop backing it up. You can do either at any time.

Acceptable use

• Don't back up or publish anything you don't have the right to share, such as code, secrets, or personal data that belong to someone else.
• Don't try to access other people's accounts or private projects, probe or disrupt the service, or get around its limits.
• Don't use Codeology to send spam or distribute malware, or for anything illegal.

Plans

The free plan includes writing, searching, and publishing docs, in-editor indicators, profiles, and backup for 3 projects and 10 MB. Premium adds suggestions while you type, AI drafts, no ads, and backup for 100 projects and 100 MB.

Premium billing

• Premium costs $8 a month or $80 a year in US dollars, plus any tax that applies, charged in advance through Stripe on the Codeology website.
• It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Plan and billing; Premium stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
• We don't refund partial periods, except where the law requires it. If you think you were charged by mistake, email us within 60 days and we'll make it right.
• If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries again over a few days. If it still fails, your account moves to the free plan: your docs stay readable, but backing up more than the free plan allows stops until you upgrade again.
• We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change, and it applies from your next renewal.

The apps

The Codeology apps for Windows and Android are licensed to you to use on devices you own or control, under these terms and the terms of the store you got them from. If the store's terms conflict with these terms about the app itself, the store's terms apply.

Optional AI drafts

AI drafts are off unless you turn them on. If you choose Claude, the code you ask about is sent to Anthropic under your own API key and their terms. If you choose a local Ollama model, nothing leaves your machine. Review drafts before saving them; they can be wrong.

Closing an account

You can close your account at any time; closing it stops Premium from renewing. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Disclaimers

Codeology is provided as is. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your repositories, including their .codeology folders, in your own version control.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Picasso Rayne Studios LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for Codeology in the 12 months before it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hall County, Georgia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Codeology after that means you accept the new terms.
